I cannot believe we are almost halfway through the year and my blog still has not been in full gear yet. Trying to keep up with my posts, my subscription boxes are starting to pile up and waiting for me to open them.
Birchbox has always been my favorite! I did think of canceling them one time because I got tired of receiving perfume vials and chocolate samples, sometimes in place of deluxe sized samples. Seeing other bloggers getting better samples, it made me think that there are really some boxes that I may not like at some point, and some comes as a surprise.
Months ago, Birchbox launched their Sample Choices as well as Guest Editor boxes. These changes enable the subscribers to choose one sample among few choices for the specific month, moreso, an option to choose a guest editor box which are curated by bloggers and the like. You can still pay the same fee of $10 + tax for these boxes.
For the month of May, Birchbox collaborated with Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere. Her lifestyle blog features food, beauty, fashion and interior design. She is launching her second book, Cupcakes and Cashmere at Home on May 19th. To know more about her, visit http://cupcakesandcashmere.com/.
I am excited to share to you what my May boxes are so, click MORE to read further!
My five-minute shower is already considered a luxury. With my little baby boy sleeping in his crib, anytime between turning the warm shower on to lathering that foamy shower gel, I give myself five minutes or less to enjoy my shower privilege.
Lately, no matter how short I take my breaks from doing my mommy duties, I always look forward to my brief showers to keep me going throughout the day. I had been enjoying my new found love, Beauty Protector, and never fails to make me better.
Buckle up, buttercup. We’ll bring the beauty essentials, and you bring the flair. Celeb status or not, we’re flying first class to fabulous, and the sky is the limit. Jetlag is for amateurs.” — Ipsy
Traveling is one of my great love! I got my fair share of travel experiences to East Coast, South Americas and Asia for the past four years. Even though I traveled handful of times, packing my beauty essentials is still my weakness. I do not have any problems choosing my outfit for a certain vacation, but I spend hours contemplating which beauty products to take with me. Most of the time, I wish I could just haul a moving box with me all the time. LOL
I love Ipsy’s theme for month of May — JETSETTER. Let’s admit it, we want to be glam and fab every where we go — even if it’s just in the beach, lying under the scorching heat of the sun. This month, Ipsy curated a vast choice of beauty essentials that will make you fab on your most awaited vacation. Let’s take a peek of what is in my jetsetter kit!
I think my most favorite word in the world (aside from chocolates) is hibernation. I cannot believe it has almost been a year since my last post! It was a roller coaster ride between travels and pregnancy, reasons why I kind of took a break from blogging. To cut the long story short, I am back to writing beautiful things — and maybe some of the not so beautiful — and do my best to keep up with the busy world of beauty and blogging.
The month of April is one of the best with my Birchbox subscription. There had been a lot of changes going on and I am pretty sure, those who are already subscribed with Birchbox already know the “Sample Choice” feature.
For this month, Birchbox is celebrating the final episodes of the series MadMen (which I haven’t watched any episode yet — YES, please, no hatin’! LOL) There are two choices between the California box and New York box, and of course I had to choose both because the regular sample choice did not appeal to me that much.
